When asked why people should come, here’s how the team answered:
The first reason for coming to the Cookoff is you have the opportunity to partner and send the DR2025 team to the DR. The DR2025 team will be going to the DR to provide medical, dental, and optical clinics to people and areas in the DR that have little or no access to healthcare physicians. More importantly, by providing the clinics to meet the physical needs of people, the team will be able to show the love of Christ and introduce them to Jesus. While you may not be physically going to the DR with the team, you still have the opportunity to be a part of the team by sending them. Join us for the Soup & Chili Cookoff and be a part of the team.
The second reason to come to the cookoff is to have a great time in fellowship with the church as we all try different soups and chilis. We'll be voting for our favorites and sitting around hanging out with our friends (and hopefully making new ones). Sign up to make your favorite soup and/or chili recipe and find out if it brings home the prize! You are going to be hungry after church anyway, so why not come and enjoy! Plus, it all goes to a great cause...bringing Hope, Health, and Healing to the hurting people of the Dominican Republic!
