The upward beam of the cross signifies the importance of our relationship with the Father through the Son. Practically we spend time together
praying, singing and sharing the Words of Life (the Bible) that He has given us.

We live that out in our groups by reaching out to our neighbors and to those less fortunate than we are in the community. Our groups have ministered to single moms, nursing homes and worked with the local communities to improve the quality of life.
The thief that asked Jesus to, "Remember me when you come into your kingdom.", was accepted in that moment of contrition. The Bible says that Jesus turned to him and said, "THIS day, you'll be with me in paradise." We try to develop a sense of belonging in our groups. No one is left on the outside. All have been made insiders by God, and we "flesh that out". In the way that we reach out to each other.
Finally, the disciple and women at the foot of the cross were the ones who were sent to tell the "Good News". The Life Groups are the perfect places for the development of mature Christian leaders. We work together to develop each others special gifts from the Lord, so that the whole church will be built up (Eph. 4:15-16).
